Our story

Built by winemakers, for winemakers

We started Vineleaf because we lived the problem — juggling spreadsheets, paper logs, and three different software tools just to run a small winery. There had to be a better way.

"Big winery technology. Small winery price."

Our mission

Big winery technology. Small winery price.

Enterprise winery software has always been built for the big players — the ones with IT departments and six-figure software budgets. Small and mid-size wineries were left to stitch together generic tools that were never designed for the craft.

Vineleaf changes that. We took everything the big wineries rely on — inventory tracking, compliance reporting, DTC sales, vineyard operations — and rebuilt it from scratch for the boutique producer. Powerful enough to scale with you. Simple enough to use on harvest day.

How we got here

2018

The idea takes root

Co-founders Marcus Hale and Sofia Reyes, both former winery operators, sketch the first version of Vineleaf on a napkin at a Napa trade show.

2019

First harvest season

Twelve pilot wineries use Vineleaf through their first full harvest cycle. The feedback shapes everything — from the inventory UI to the compliance export format.

2021

Growth plan launches

After two years of refinement, Vineleaf opens to the public. Within six months, over 200 wineries across California, Oregon, and Washington are on the platform.

2023

Expanding the craft

Vineleaf reaches 1,000 wineries and expands beyond the West Coast. New integrations with QuickBooks and Shopify make it the hub of the modern small winery.

2024

The full platform

The Pro plan launches with custom API access and dedicated onboarding — bringing enterprise-grade capability to independent producers at a fraction of the cost.

What we believe

Craft first

We build for the people who care deeply about what's in the bottle — not for investors or enterprise procurement committees.

Radical simplicity

Every feature we ship has to pass one test: can a winemaker use it on a busy harvest morning without reading a manual?

Honest pricing

No hidden fees, no per-seat traps, no surprise overages. The price you see is the price you pay.

Built to last

We're in this for the long haul. Wineries plan in decades — your software partner should too.
